There were six tombs built by members of the Assassin Order as dedications to the lives of their residents. These tombs held the bodies of six legendary Assassins that had been exhumed and moved from their previous burial sites. Each crypt contained a wealth of treasure, and a statue of the Assassin who lay within the tomb. Inside each tomb lay an Assassin Seal, which, when brought together with the other five, unlocked a secure gate in the Sanctuary, beneath the Villa Auditore.

There were three tombs within the regions of Florence and Tuscany. The first was located within the catacombs of the Santa Maria Novella, and was discovered by the Assassin Ezio Auditore da Firenze in , while he was trying to eavesdrop on a Templar meeting. This tomb was the resting place of Darius, slayer of Xerxes I of Persia.

The second lay in the Santa Maria del Fiore, within the lanterna above the building's domed top. Here rested Iltani, who was responsible for the death of Alexander the Great.

The third tomb was within San Gimignano, and was built atop the Torre Grossa, although entrance to the tomb was only possible by passing through the city's Palazzo Comunale below. Within the territories of Romagna and the Venetian lagoon, three more tombs were built. The other two lay in Venice; within the district of San Marco, beneath the eponymous named Basilica di San Marco, rested Amunet, who had been responsible for the death of Cleopatra. The final tomb was beneath the Santa Maria della Visitazione, which held the body of Leonius, killer of Caligula.

Built in Monteriggioni during the late 13th century, the Auditore Family Crypt was constructed by Domenico Auditore to serve as the resting place of Domenico and his son. The story of Domenico's life was inscribed across the walls along the pathway, from the main entrance to the crypt itself. During the 15th century, Domenico's great-great-grandson Ezio Auditore explored the crypt and learned of his family's history and its involvement with the Assassins.

Dyes purchasable from tailors are not visible upon the armor, save on the inside of the hood. This armor was later buried in the rubble of Villa Auditore during the Siege of Monteriggioni, when Cesare Borgia launched an attack on the town to recover the Apple of Eden from the Assassins. Go to the southwest corner of the cellar and jump to a platform. From there, turn right and use a series of platforms to let Ezio cling to a wall to the west.

While clinging, you can shimmy around to the other side of the wall and reach the next area. There's another guard here, but he's by himself so you can kill him easily. Jump onto the chandelier in the center of the room and from there turn north to land on a thick wire. From the wire, you can continue north into the next hall with the library.

The library has enemies and they should be killed. When it's clear, locate the metal hand rings on the western wall.

Wall run toward them and jump backwards to grab onto the narrow beam just below the balcony. Climb on top of the beam and you can jump onto the hand rings to climb onto the platform just above them. From the platform, jump onto the balcony and continue moving upward via the chandeliers and other obvious means until you reach an even higher balcony. There's another guard there. He should also be killed before moving out to the tower area. Climbing the tower is very straight-forward.

Jump across beams on your way upward and expect to run into a guard fairly early. Throw him off the edge of the platform for a quick kill and climb the ladder behind him.

After killing a second set of guards further up, look for a wall to the south with hand rings way up high. Climb the window to your right to reach a ring that will allow you to climb onto a beam. From there you can reach the hand rings to continue your ascent. The rest of the climb is easy. When you reach the top, open the sarcophagus to net the Seal of Wei Yu and exit through the ceiling hatch.
